Education and Experience

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California [PSY6680]. My masters and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology were earned at the University of Kentucky Department of Psychology, which is an American Psychological Association [APA] approved clinical psychology program.

I also completed an internship in clinical psychology at the APA approved Kaiser-Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. I received an excellent education and was fortunate to be trained by a number of truly gifted clinicians.

Following my clinical training, I served on the clinical staff of the Department of Psychiatry at the Kaiser-Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. I also provided consultation to various medical and psychiatric group practices and maintained a private practice specializing in adults and adolescents.

My clinical training has been in the scientist-practitioner model. In addition to extensive training in direct clinical practice and psychotherapy my training has been steeped in research that informs treatment approaches that are both focused and effective.
